Wilderness B&B is set in the heart of the Weald of Kent, with its scattered farms and idyllic villages.

Apparently in days gone by the owner of Wilderness (The Waterman) would hang flags from the top floor to warn nearby farmers to move cattle to higher ground if heavy rain was coming! Hence the name of the small hamlet…Waterman Quarter!

Close to the popular village of Headcorn we are within a short distance of Tenterden, Cranbook and notably Sissinghurst Castle home of one of the most famous gardens in England, shown in the photo below.

Wilderness B&B offers self distancing and privacy during your stay as we operate a self check in and breakfast is served in your own self contained area. All our accommodation is self contained and is therefore separate to our home.

“The Orchard Room” and “The Hopper’s Room” are in converted outbuildings offering bright and relaxing accommodation.

“The Shepherd’s Hut”…well is a hut that was designed to be used by a shepherd! Nonetheless we are sure you will find it comfortable being carefully designed based on original 18th century drawings and having a log burner to enjoy in the evenings. There is a small secluded area with two deck chairs.

All our rooms are en-suite.

A hearty continental breakfast is served in your own room where you can enjoy the view onto the orchard and as there are tables and chairs in each room you can dine in with your own food during the evenings.

Broadband internet access is available through a wireless network connection in each room. Just ask for the key when you arrive.

We are sure you will love your stay and find it a perfect base to explore the county of Kent and this corner of England…the Garden of England.

Don’t take our word for it…look at the comments!

As we are a Bed & Breakfast the garden and patio area is our family garden and not privately restricted for guests.
