South of England Rare Breeds Centre – 13 miles
Rare Breeds Centre is the only Rare Breeds Centre in Kent and is approved by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust. Families, adults and groups can enjoy a perfect day out on our beautiful 100 acre farm based in the heart of the Kent countryside.
From our exotic Butterfly tunnel to the delights of the Discovery Garden; through our woodland walks to the edge of the Secret Lake, we offer something for everyone.
There are lots of animals to meet and pet and fun things to do for children including two play parks, a tube maze and indoor soft play barn. We also hold falconry displays, pig racing and many special events throughout the year.
Adults might like to browse our Rare Breeds Plants and Produce shop where plants and produce grown on the farm can be purchased.
Our Granary Restaurant is open every day we are, offering tasty, local food and our Carvery can be sampled every Sunday from 11-2.30pm. You don’t have to pay to go onto the farm to visit the restaurant or Rare Breeds Plants and Produce shop.
